Greiner Consulting Group, recognized as the gold standard in the career management field within the legal profession, is looking to fill a Career Development Coach position in our New York City office. This is a distinctive opportunity to join the premier brand in the industry, working with an elite team of coaches, who serve a client base of AmLaw 100 and 200 firms and leading companies. You Are/You Have

  • J.D. or Master’s-level counseling degree
  • A current or former law firm PD or Recruiting professional, or you’ve worked in law school career services
  • A keen understanding of career development issues affecting the legal profession
  • A strong commitment to personal professional development along with the capacity to work closely, happily, and flexibly with a small, tight-knit team of professionals
  • Experience in coaching, counseling, or HR in the legal industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, along with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Professionalism, personal initiative, compassion, and a healthy sense of humor

You Will

  • Serve as a career counselor, transition advisor, and coach to attorneys and law firm business services professionals on the full spectrum of career management matters
  • Provide career counseling, advice, and direction, with a particular focus on driving the overall strategy of the job search for attorneys in career transition
  • Guide clients exploring alternative career options, and advise on short- and long-term career goals
  • Coach clients on developing their Leadership, Client Relations, Communication, Delegation, and Organization and Project Management skills
  • Work with the GCG team on the development of training modules and other programming, manage RFP processes, and create presentations and workshops
  • Contribute to project team on HR/PD client projects, including diverse sponsorship and mentorship programs
  • Travel regionally on occasion and nationally as necessary

We Offer

Salary commensurate with experience. Base salary to start ranges from $120k-150k depending upon experience. Generous vacation and benefits package, including company-funded health, vision, and dental insurance and 401k plan.
