What do Millennials Value in the Workplace?

June 29, 2015 Greiner Consulting Group

According to an article recently published in Inc. (see link below), Millennials value having a variety of professional development opportunities at work. According to author, J.T. O’Donnell, since this particular generation has been coached their entire lives, they expect coaching at their jobs as well and “through no fault of their own, are arriving at their first jobs professionally immature.”

Ms. O’Donnell suggests that by offering career coaching as an employee benefit, employee retention and performance of Millennials will improve and recruitment efforts strengthened. Accordingly, Millennials will feel that companies care about them and their futures and are tapping into their potential.
