Kate Edwards
Consulting Partner, Coaching & Business Services
Kate Edwards is an executive coach, advisor, author, and educator who has spent her career decoding the organizational experience and deciphering what makes great leaders so impactful. Kate has specialized in coaching executives and managers in high-touch professions across a range of industries, including in-house legal departments.
Since 2007, Kate has built training and coaching programs for iconic global companies, both large and small. She has consulted with clients who are defined by their spirit of innovation such as Meta, Media Monks, Figure 8 Logistics, or their commitment to excellence, including Rosewood, Viceroy, Vail Resorts, and those defined by their service to others such as Wynn and Encore. Her coaching practice focuses on leaders seeking a sounding board, thought partner, and an expert counsel as they shape their leadership style, confront unhelpful habits and behaviors, and acknowledge their impact on their teams.
Her coaching pillars are self-awareness, curiosity, and experimentation. These pillars help her clients discover the limiting beliefs that might be holding them back from fulfilling their potential while relying on a narrative that is no longer valid. Kate’s work includes a focus on identifying the behaviors that authentic, thoughtful, and confident leaders share, so that her clients can build a toolkit of options to reach for when things go off track. This also includes the uncovering of one’s own untested theories and deeply held assumptions—a freeing moment that inspires compassion, change, and evolution.
Kate spent her early years operating some of the most highly respected restaurants in New York City, and for 14 years was a management instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan. An expert in her field, Kate has done several segments for Inside Edition and has been quoted in magazines as varied as WSJ, Eater, Bloomberg, Amex OPEN, AdWeek, and Fast Casual. In 2015, she published her first book Hello! And Every Little Thing That Matters, a customer service book for transforming businesses and improving brands.
Kate earned her B.A. in Theatre at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A member of the International Coaching Federation, Kate completed her coach training through iCoach Global at Baruch College. Kate and her chef husband reside in New York City.
