Daniel Goleman, author of “Leadership: The Power of Emotional Intelligence” underscores the importance of the ability to identify, monitor and manage the emotions of others, as well as their own, all of which are critical to the capacity to lead. We agree with Mr. Coleman’s short list of competencies one should possess.
